It’s a new season. I have a new job. And I got a new computer for the new job. I figured it was time for a change of site design as well. After putzing around with it for weeks and talking about how much I love coding and mark-up and blah blah blah, I decided to throw in the towel and used someone else’s design again. But that’s okay because it’s very pretty and more feminine than I’ve gone in the past and she obviously knows what she’s doing more than I do and I like it right in this moment and that’s all that matters. Right? Right.
About the new computer…. why did I ever wait so long to switch to a Mac? Seriously. The change was inevitable after I got my iPhone (finally…after having waited for pre-paid iPhone plans for what felt like eons) last summer. Everything speaks to each other…keeps each other up-to-date….keeps me up-to-date! I love it! I love how it works, I love the aesthetics. Did I mention I love it? My friend Katie, who spent a few years doing IT for a publishing company that only used Macs but now has her own company, would laugh at me and say she knew it all along and probably found my denial of the fact that Macs are superior to PCs (at least in terms of productivity….I still think PCs hold the market on gaming) quaint and cute. Secretly, I’m glad I’m no longer the tubby middle-aged guy with the glasses, but rather the condescending hipster with the hoodie. Okay, I don’t want to be condescending, but I do like hoodies! Even more secretly….regardless of the computer I own, I’m not really cool enough to ever not be the tubby guy with the glasses.
So I have no idea what this means for the site….if content will be more forthcoming. I’ve spent the last several weeks helping with the bundle sale (THANK YOU!!! to those of you who bought through my link!! you honestly and truly MADE MY WEEK!) and, frankly, when I’m done with my work for the day, I either don’t have time to do anything else computer-related as B is awake, or I just want to stare mindlessly at the prettiness of my new computer. I’m not kidding. I have post ideas in mind, but I have no idea if anyone will find them even remotely interesting (not that that’s stopped me before, right?). I think my perpetual blog identity crisis will be just that….perpetual. What do you all want to see? More personal posts, or more other content? I can do personal, but I can’t vouch for its interestingness. I can do other, but I guess I can’t vouch for that interestingness either. 🙂
