We finally got our old house listed this week (after E put a LOT of time into getting it fixed up….he had ten years of abuse to content with) and our realtor is having an open house today. Fingers crossed that the market in Denver is really as outrageous as everyone says it is and we get into a crazy bidding war! Hah…we’ll see. 🙂
Here are links around the internets that caught my eye this week for your leisurely weekend.
Geninne’s Art Blog: June! I love her desktop wallpapers. This will be decorating my desktop for the next month. 🙂
The Oregon Trail Generation: Life Before And After Mainstream Tech. “If you can distinctly recall the excitement of walking into your weekly computer lab session and seeing a room full of Apple 2Es displaying the start screen of Oregon Trail, you’re a member of this nameless generation, my friend.” YES.
The Art of Being Easily Fascinated. “…early in my life, I made a conscious decision to live ‘easily-fascinated.’ Over the years, I’ve seen this decision pay out countless dividends in my life and the people around me. Just as Stew makes others feel self-confident, I’ve tried to do the same. And personally, because of that decision, I am more generous, more grateful, and more valuable to others.”
Summer Plans: 2016. A few ideas for a frugal, but adventurous, summer!
I know I talk about Book of the Month a lot here, but I really do love the concept. Getting to choose from five hardcover novels each month, curated by people who know books, for a great discount sounds like the perfect way to build up a personal library (especially as so many of the books are so pretty and I’m a sucker for pretty books).
They’re offering a fun little summer promotion right now – if you sign up before June 30th, you’ll get $5 off a 3-month subscription, an exclusive Book Of The Month beach bag, and custom sunglasses! Just use the code SSK5 when you sign up for your 3-month subscription before June 30th so you can get this cute little set!
