Happy almost spring, Patreon friends! Last month at the Charlotte Mason Educational Retreat, I attended a session on “Building Your Own Mother’s Education Course” that I found extremely helpful and encouraging to continue my own self-education. Thus, this month’s quote comes from Charlotte Mason: “There is no education but self-education.” (Volume 6)

In the session, Karen Canon reminded us of the “Mother Culture” Parents’ Review article in which we’re encouraged to have three books going at one time: “a stiff book, a moderately easy book, and a novel.” With this in mind, I made a book log for us this month that includes a place to record which books we’re reading in each category.
