Printable Homeschool Assignment Charts (and other shop updates!)
We are nearing the end of our first term of school for the year, and planning for our next term is beginning in earnest, so I’m sharing a shop update today!
A few years ago, for my Patreon friends, I made printable assignment and chore charts as one of their bonus downloads. I’ve also been using them for my kids as they’ve progressed in their education and their reading assignments each week have increased. I use the full-page chart for my older son and write down all of his reading assignments for the week on Sunday before putting it in his homeschool binder. He looks through it on Monday and plans out when he wants to do each assignment, checking them off as he goes. I use the daily/weekly chart with my younger daughter by writing in her assignments that change each week on the top with her recurring tasks in the weekly area at the bottom, and she does the same.
This system has worked extremely well for us as it gives both kids the opportunity to manage their own time and take responsibility for their tasks, which is invaluable for their growth. There have been weeks when they’ve made good decisions related to their assignments and reaped the benefits of finishing early, and there have been weeks when they’ve made not-so-good decisions and suffered the consequences (e.g. doing whatever was left of their assignments on Saturday). My hope is that they’ll continue to improve in this area as they make their way through their school years and their load increases.
This year in my #sundayhomeschoolplanning posts on Instagram, I’ve been sharing these assignment charts, and a few people have expressed interest in using them with their own kids, so I decided to make a bundle of the ones I’ve made, including the versions I’ve created since I offered them on Patreon, and post it in my shop!
The download comes with three different charts in a sans-serif font design with a simple user icon in the upper right, or a cursive font design with a branch in the upper right. The charts included are:
- Chore and assignment sheet: ten lines with seven checkboxes per line for daily chores, eleven lines with five checkboxes (and additional two extra boxes) per line for daily assignments, five half-lines with one checkbox for weekly chores, and five half-lines with one checkbox for weekly assignments (in both serif and cursive designs)
- Full-page assignment sheet: 24 lines and five checkboxes per line (in both serif and cursive designs)
- Daily and weekly assignment sheet: 20 lines with five checkboxes per line for daily assignments, and five lines with one checkbox per line for weekly assignments (in both serif and cursive designs)
I also posted the downloadable and printed version of the quote design I released in September and a new mug with that design on it as well! You can find them by clicking on the images below!
