a humble place 2023 Year in Review (and 2024 plans!)

January from the Très Riches Heures du Duc de Berry

It’s that time of year! I’ll be taking next week off from the blog and, hopefully, the internet in general (and encourage others to do the same!), so I’m ending the year with a post listing some of the more popular posts and products on my site, as well as sharing my plans for next year.

I also want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your kind comments, reviews, and encouraging emails over the course of this year. I cherish every one of these acts of love that come my way, and I am so thankful to be part of the homeschooling and Charlotte Mason community!

And now on to the lists!

New Picture Study Aids

I had hoped to release a few more Picture Study Aids than the ones I was able to announce this year, but I overbooked myself, as I’m prone to do. I did, however, refresh my Antoine Watteau Picture Study Aid and offered new Picture Study Aids covering the work of John Constable, Tintoretto, Georges Seurat (plus a free version for AO friends!), and Albrecht Dürer.

2024 Plans

I have so many ideas for this space, and what I want to do and offer here, but as there are only so many hours in the day, I have found that I’m not able to explore all of those ideas as much as I’d like. Still, I’m so thankful to be able to use my degree and pursue something that I’m passionate about (homeschooling and art!), and in that pursuit, help others in their own homeschools.

In 2024, I plan to release Lenten Art Devotions Volume V at the beginning of the year. As with last year, I also have a tentative list of new artists that I also hope to release in the new year. This includes Caravaggio and Eugène Delacroix, among several others whom I am excited to be able to offer! Once again, however, I will say that I hope to offer these in the early part of the year. Sometimes life happens in a way that plans fall through, so I don’t want to make any promises. If there are any artists you’d like to see, let me know in the comments!

As this is my last post of 2023, I want to wish everyone a very happy 2024!
