  1. Oh this is so, so true!

    Even though my youngest is 4 now, I still cup her face in my hands and think of how tiny she is … yet when my son was 4, I remember thinking he was so big. Their independence now is definitely convenient, and I love the different way of communicating with them now, but how I miss the days of nurturing a baby!

    I’ll admit that I never thought of motherhood as being a continual process of mourning, but you are absolutely right. It is.

    1. I know each age definitely has its advantages and things to love! I took B to pick up our Azure order a month ago. It was just him and me and it was so nice to not have to carry anyone. 🙂 He actually helped me carry the boxes back to the car and we just sat and talked. So I’m looking forward to that with C too!
