2023-2024 AmblesideOnline Picture Study Art Print Files Free Download!

Free Picture Study Art Download! - ahumbleplace.com

Please note that I have been given AmblesideOnline’s permission to use their name in the title and body of this post as well as their permission to use their Artist Study rotation to make these files.

It’s that time of year again! Today I’m offering the 2023-2024 AmblesideOnline Picture Study art print files for download! Each free (and no strings attached) PDF includes printable versions of six paintings from each artist, taken from the AmblesideOnline Artist Study rotation.

As always, I did try to find the highest resolution images I could on the internet, which sometimes proves to be problematic. Tintoretto’s pieces were particularly challenging this year as most of his art is still in situ in the locations where it was originally commissioned, which are not always lit well and not museums. I have also found that there is a delicate balance of providing high-quality images while maintaining a relatively small file size. If you do have questions about printing the files, I have a few tips and suggestions here for how to print your picture studies at home, have them printed at an office supply store, or purchase prints from an online supplier if that would be helpful.

Also, another note about the Tintoretto pieces: ‘Portrait of a Man,’ as chosen for the AO rotation, was actually painted by Tintoretto’s son, Domenico. I did distinguish between him and his father on the print by including his first name. If the AO Advisory members decide to change this piece later, I will update the file with the new piece.

Beneath each image is the title, artist name, and the date it was painted as well as permission to print it at your local copy shop for personal use. You can find the files here (or on the Picture Study Resources page):

Tintoretto

1518-1594
(Venetian – Renaissance)

Claude Monet

1840-1926
(FRENCH – IMPRESSIONISM)

Georges Seurat

1859-1891
(French – Post-Impressionism)

As with last year, I will be offering one free Picture Study Aid later this year, and that will be for Georges Seurat. I will post that here on the blog once it’s available.

If you have any questions, please let me know!

You’re always my plan A when it comes to artist study resources! Thank you so much! Will you be offering a Tintoretto PSA, even though it won’t be free? I’ll gladly come back and pick it up if you do.

    1. Thank you for your kind comment, Stephanie! I do plan to release a Tintoretto Picture Study Aid that has some overlap with the AO selections, but does not match exactly.

  4. Thank you so much for doing this. What a blessing! I have always struggled with art study. Last year I found your site and printed off the art, and artist study became our favorite time together.
